I walk across the sands
Ever wandering empty lands
Never wanting more than what is needed
Just like those who I succeeded

As I walk ever farther
My ancestors look on with pride
Though my path may become harder
I will walk past any divide

There is no set path I can divine
But any path I take with be repayed in kind
Whatever path I take will make me greater
This is my people's nature

I don't really like this poem but I'll submit it anyway in the the hopes that someone will find it amusing

Hmm...the poem is quite open-ended as such but I still like it. I get a sense that the speaker is trying to overcome any obstacle he/she faces for the pride of both his ancestors and as an individual. Perhaps another stanza might have helped extend the direction of your poem?
